Tart Ch. 6
Throughout the Tart reading I found that the Negative feedback stabilization was the most interesting. There have been many times when I was sleeping or my mind was wandering when I suddenly snapped back to reality because a noise or a movement that I may or may not have seen/heard. Many times I have been startled out of my sleep with my heart beating because of a something that I might have heard. Another thing that I found interesting was that Tart mentions that you can limit the effect drugs have on you by thinking about personal triumphs. This takes up all of your energy which keeps your mind from wandering to that altered state. I think that Tart did a good job with giving examples of each of the four ways of stabilizing the d-SoC.
