The ideas in this chapter regarding system stabilization were very interesting. Although, it seems that in some ways this is an attempt to explain the unexplainable, to understand that which we cannot understand. It would seem that the brain, the conscience and the states there of are completely outside the grasp of our comprehension. While Tart does a very good job using analogies and examples to illustrate his points, these ideas may be better left to states of society rather than states of conscience.
I am still waiting to receive my books and as a result, have no comments on the other readings.
